Shopping habits were assessed, as were the affects of trade leakage to other nearby towns and cities – and the Hurstwood strategy was applied to ensure that money is brought BACK to the local community by attracting quality retailers who can provide the goods and services needed without the need for long car journeys.

The Rawtenstall business and residential communities are kept informed throughout the development process… and through to completion Hurstwood will continue to listen to as part of the company’s strict Considerate Contractor Policy.

The unique opportunities created at Hurstwood Park means that leading UK retailers and leisure groups are already signing up to the scheme including the likes of Homebase who recently committed to open a new 40,000 sq.ft. store and garden centre.
